If you are selected, your visa will be processed only by an authorized J-1 sponsor. We guide you through the journey, but do not issue visas or make final hiring decisions.
Who Can Apply?
You are eligible to apply if you meet the following criteria:

Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related teaching field

Have a valid teaching license from your home country
-
Are proficient in English (spoken and written)
-
Have at least 2 years of full-time K–12 teaching experience

Are open to being hosted under the J-1 Teacher Exchange Program

Meet the moral character and professional standards of the program
Documents to Prepare
Before or during your application, gather as many of these as you can:

Resume and Cover Letter (PDF)

Two Recommendation Letters
– One from your principal/supervisor
– One from a colleague -
Teaching License

Credential Evaluation (WES, SpanTran, or ECE)

Passport (valid at least 3 more years)

Intro Video (2–3 min: your story + teaching style)

Demo Teaching Video (5 min: how you teach a lesson)

Step 1: Submit Your Online Application

Step 2: Review by TeachCare
We assess your qualifications and may contact you for clarification.
Step 3: Virtual Screening Interview
A brief interview with our team to understand your goals, strengths, and classroom readiness.
Step 4: Referral to J-1 Visa Sponsor
If accepted, your profile will be referred to an authorized J-1 sponsor for placement review.

Once matched, we assist with:
